Last night I attended a seance (yes, you read that right, lol) held by one of the psychics we are filming for the reality show pilot, "Mixed Fortunes". My purpose for attending was two-fold...first to scout it out before we bring the film crew in next month and, second, because I was secretly hoping my dad would come through. Well, not only did my dad come through very clearly, but my childhood best friend, Angela, did as well!!
In fact, Ang was the FIRST spirit that showed up and it caught me a bit off guard--when she said "There's an Angela here", and none of the other ten people responded, it became clear she was there for me. I've known this psychic for several years now but have actually never talked to her about Ang, so there was no way for her to know her name or any of the details of her death, etc. She said, "She was young when she died" (true), and "she was very ill for a long time" (true)...and "she was ready to go" (this is also true...in fact she told me so herself when I visited her in the hospital three weeks before she passed). The psychic then mentioned that her message was to a "son"...asking if she had had a son, which she hadn't, but MY son is her godson :) She wanted him to know she is OK (he does ask about her) and also that he would one day become great friends with someone named Paul, who will have a very positive impact on his life.
Several of the other attendees then had people come through, when suddenly she said my dad was there. Now she had actually met my dad a couple of times so she could describe him to me and she said he looked just the same as when she saw him. He said he passed instantly (true) with "no pain" (good to know) and his message for me was that the project I'm working on involving my hometown (the feature film, ALGONA) is a good one and that he is trying to guide it from the other side (fantastic!) And he also said he's around us a lot, but that he makes himself known to my daughter, Ally, because she's the only one who listens!! (and she frequently comes to me in the morning and says "Grandpa told me to tell you this...").
The overriding sense that I got from listening to everyone who came through was that they are eager to let their loved ones know that they are OKAY and happy on the other side. So, it seems fitting to choose Joshua Radin's aptly titled song, "We are Okay", which I happen to love.
Hope you feel more than OKAY after listening to it :)
How fitting that Angie would be the first to speak. I'm glad you were able to make contact with your father. Certainly " The Great Communicator" Angela would have to be a part of that. Too bad there wasn't any lasagna!
